During your pet’s scheduled exam or emergency visit, our doctors might recommend additional tests and screenings to better understand your pet’s health. The results of your pet’s diagnostic tests will help us create an individualized treatment plan to help your pet get on the road to better health as soon as possible.
Our in-house diagnostic tools include:
- In-house laboratory
- Pet x-ray
- Pet ultrasound
The results of your pet’s blood, urine, and stool sample tests can reveal the presence of infections, parasites, or diseases-often before your pet is showing any outward signs of an illness. We use these tests to help us understand the severity of an animal’s condition and also as prescreening tools to make sure an animal is healthy enough to undergo surgery.
As with humans, x-rays are important tools when it comes to providing valuable information about what’s happening inside the body. We use x-ray equipment to spot broken bones, for diagnosing certain conditions, and for locating foreign objects inside your pets.
Ultrasound equipment provides a close look at the soft tissues inside your pet’s body. Like x-rays, ultrasounds are important tools that can help us determine the presence or severity of a disease or injury. We can also use ultrasound to evaluate your pet’s pregnancy and as a preventative screening or pre-surgical test.
Diagnostic tests give our doctors a deeper understanding of your pet’s condition and needs. Our in-house lab coupled with on-site x-ray and ultrasound equipment means that you get answers quickly and within one visit-saving you valuable time and reducing stress on your pet.
